About Jan Adams

I have practised as a garden designer since 1992 and have been lucky enough to have been involved with a wide range of projects, over 400 designs in all. Everything from small new build to large and complicated, including terracing, water features, lakes and river bank fortifications.

The majority of my work is for private clients but I also work for property developers. I undertake drawings for planning requirements and the planting of completed developments.

I studied a two year garden design course with the Open College of Arts and also worked for another garden designer for three years until I felt experienced and confident enough to start my own design business.

Being a garden designer is a career which reflects my life interests, as my hobbies are riding, walking and enjoying the countryside so I feel lucky enough to work at something I love and feel this shows in my work.
